EJO End User License Agreement

Version: 2026-10-12

This is a translation. The Turkish version is the binding text.

This End User License Agreement (the "License Agreement") is between the institution or person that installs the EJO software on its own infrastructure (the "Licensee", "you") and the owner of the software, [Company name] ([Company address]; "EJO", "we"). By installing or running the software or ordering a license key, you accept this License Agreement. If you accept on behalf of an institution, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

This License Agreement is for use where you run EJO on your own servers (on-prem). The EJO Cloud service that EJO operates for you is subject to the EJO Cloud Terms of Service.

1. Definitions

2. License

2.1. Subject to this License Agreement and, on paid plans, payment of the fee, EJO grants the Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable right (simple license) to install and use the Software solely for its own internal business purposes, limited to the term of the License Key.

2.2. Scope. The license is limited to the number of Users in the License Key. The number of Agents, pipelines, repositories, environments and deployments is not limited. With the same license, in addition to the production Installation, Installations for test, staging and disaster recovery purposes may be set up; if the Users in these Installations are the same persons, they are not counted separately.

2.3. Community. As EJO offers it free of charge, the Software may be used free of charge with at most 5 Users, without a License Key or with a Community key. There is no support or update commitment for Community use.

2.4. Paid plans. The number of Users, term and fee of the Team and Enterprise plans are set in the Order. An additional Order is placed to increase the number of Users during the term.

2.5. When the license expires. When the License Key expires, the Software does not stop and your data is not deleted: the Software continues to run within Community limits. Existing User accounts work, but while the number of Users is above 5, new Users cannot be created. Continuing to use it with more than 5 Users on an expired paid license requires renewing the license.

2.6. Backup copy. You may make as many backup copies of the Software and the License Key as needed for the use above.

3. Restrictions

Except to the extent the law mandatorily permits, you may not:

4. Open source components

The Software contains open source components distributed under their own licenses. The list of these components and the license texts are provided with the Software. For these components, the rights that their own licenses grant you take precedence over the restrictions of this License Agreement.

5. Data and confidentiality

5.1. The Software does not send data to EJO. The License Key is verified without an internet connection, with the public key inside the Software. The Software does not transmit usage information, telemetry or personal data to EJO. The connections the Software makes to the outside go to the services you configure (SCM, registry, Kubernetes, secret managers, notification channels, etc.) and, unless you have mirrored the images to your own registry, to the registry from which EJO's container images are downloaded. For this reason you are the data controller of the data in your Installation and EJO does not access this data.

5.2. Support. If you send us logs, configuration or error output of your own accord for support, we process them only to resolve that support request and delete them within 90 days at the latest after the request is closed. Mask secrets and unnecessary personal data in the information you send. If this information contains personal data, EJO processes it as a data processor on your behalf, and Sections 3 and 6 of the Data Processing Agreement apply by analogy.

6. Support and updates

6.1. On paid plans, for the term of the License Key: access to new versions of the Software and email support on business days at destek@ejocloud.com. Response times and additional services (installation support, priority support), if any, are written in the Order.

6.2. EJO aims to support each version so that it receives security fixes for at least 12 months. Supported versions are listed in the documentation.

6.3. Installing updates, taking backups and running database migrations are the Licensee's responsibility.

7. Fees

The fees of paid plans are stated in the Order in Turkish lira and are paid in advance. An invoice is issued for each payment. Fees are not refunded, except in the case in 8.2 and the mandatory provisions of the law.

8. Warranty

8.1. EJO undertakes that, for 90 days from the delivery date of a paid License Key, the Software will substantially perform the basic functions described in the documentation.

8.2. EJO remedies, within a reasonable time, a reproducible non-conformity that you report within this period; if it cannot remedy it, it terminates the license and refunds the portion of the fee you paid for that license that corresponds to the unused period. This is your sole remedy for breach of warranty.

8.3. Other than this, to the extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is"; no warranty is given that it will run uninterrupted or error-free or that it is fit for a particular purpose. The security and resilience features of the Software (image scan, signature verification, SBOM, environment policies, approval and freeze windows, deploy verification, automatic rollback) reduce risks, but do not guarantee that a vulnerability, a faulty release or an outage will never occur.

9. Liability

9.1. EJO is not responsible for the consequences of operations that the Software, Agents and your pipelines perform on your infrastructure and with the permissions you give, for the security of your infrastructure or for your backups.

9.2. The parties are not liable to each other for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data or loss of reputation.

9.3. EJO's total liability under this License Agreement is limited to the license fees the Licensee paid to EJO in the 12 months before the event causing the damage. For Community use, EJO is liable only for intent and gross negligence.

9.4. This Section does not limit liability arising from intent or gross negligence under Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098, or other liabilities that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Intellectual property

The Software, as a computer program, is protected under Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works. All rights in the Software and in the name and logo "EJO" belong to EJO or its licensors. This License Agreement does not transfer or license any right other than the right of use in Section 2. The Licensee's data, .ejo files, pipeline definitions and the blueprints and step packs it writes itself belong to the Licensee.

11. Compliance

EJO may, at most once a year and in writing, ask you to report the number of Users in your Installations. The settings page of the console shows the current plan, the User limit and the number of Users in use. If Users in excess of the license are detected, the difference is paid at the current list price and from the date on which the excess use began.

12. Term and termination

12.1. The License Agreement begins when you install the Software. Paid licenses end on the expiry date of the License Key and 2.5 applies.

12.2. If the Licensee materially breaches this License Agreement and does not remedy the breach within 30 days of written notice, EJO may terminate the license. No period is given in case of an intentional breach of Section 3.

12.3. In case of termination, you stop using the Software and delete its copies. Your own data belongs to you; you may export it before termination.

12.4. Provisions that by their nature must remain valid after termination (3, 5, 9, 10, 13) are not affected by termination.

13. Miscellaneous

13.1. Assignment. The Licensee may not assign this License Agreement without EJO's written consent; however, in the transfer of the entire business, it may assign it by notifying EJO. EJO may assign this License Agreement by notice in case of a transfer of the business, a change in company type (e.g. transition from a sole proprietorship to a capital company) or a merger.

13.2. Notices. Notices are made to the contact addresses in the Order, and to EJO at destek@ejocloud.com.

13.3. Changes. A new version of this License Agreement applies only to new Orders and renewals. A license term already paid is subject to the version in force when that term began.

13.4. Force majeure. Obligations affected are suspended for the duration of events beyond the parties' control.

13.5. Governing law and jurisdiction. This License Agreement is subject to Turkish law. In disputes, the courts and enforcement offices of the place where EJO's headquarters is located are competent. Where the Licensee is considered a consumer, the mandatory provisions of Law No. 6502 are reserved.

13.6. Precedence and language. If the Order and this License Agreement conflict, the Order prevails. The License Agreement is published in Turkish and English; in case of any difference between them, the Turkish text prevails. The invalidity of a provision does not affect the others.
